Dear Parents,

    I hope you are finding your sons/daughters in better shape than before.  I wanted to give you a head's up as to what the next two weeks should look like for practice as well as as our first game.  Thanksgiving week will be 3 days of practice (M-W) with Monday and Tuesday from 3:20-5:00 and Wednesday from 1:15-2:45.  On Wednesday, the players will need to bring a lunch and we will eat lunch together as a team either at the school or at the field.

    The week of November 30th will be a typical week with the boys practicing Mon and Wed and the girls practicing Tues and Thurs.  We will try to be at Sirrine Elementary School (right next door  to (east of) Hoopes Park) for all future practices.  Unfortunately the field was flooded for the first week and we had to practice at the Hoopes Park and it looks like they are going to flood both fields regularly and so I apologize in advance if we have to keep switching fields. 

Our first game will be December 5th at Freestone Park located at 1021 E. Juniper Ave in Gilbert.  Game times are as follows:  Girls at 9:00am, please arrive no later than 8:30am.  Boys at 11:00am, please arrive no later than 10:30am.  The girl's schedule is not set in stone as we will most likely be dividing up into 2 teams and the times could change.  Next week I will be making a final decision in regards to the split.  The decision has been delayed because of the amount of people that have missed multiple practices. 

Speaking of attendence, this has been a problem so far.  Excused absences are one thing:  not being at school due to illness or vacation, or another function of higher importance occurring at the same time (or previously scheduled months in advance) and the coach has been forewarned.  Unexcused is the player decides not to show up to practice and/or fails to notify the coach.  Three unexcused absensces will result in a one game suspension as will each subsequent unexcused absence.  More than 5 will result in dismissal from the team.  Four excused absences will result in diminished playing time as well.  Any kind of absence on the practice before a game will mean the player will not start in the game
